Dallas, TX (July 9, 2008) – DAVACO, Inc., the national leading provider of retail services, announced today that it has named Steve Covert as the company’s director of design services. Covert is responsible for managing all aspects of DAVACO’s design department, as well as serving DAVACO’s wide range of retail clients with their store and retail fixture needs. He reports to Mike Murray, senior vice president of operations.

“Steve brings over 27 years of architectural and management experience to DAVACO,” said Murray. “His retail experience gives him a unique understanding of the design and execution challenges at the store level and his ability to effectively manage high-volume projects adds another level of expertise to this department.”

Covert previously was employed with 7-Eleven as the corporate architect. In this role, he was responsible for all store design, planning and design document criteria, including the coordination of multiple departments and vendors, as well as value engineering store equipment and construction material cost management. Prior to that, Covert served as a project manager for Brown Reynolds Watford Architects.
