Fixture Perfect International President
and CEO Finalist for Entrepreneur of the Year
Rick Davis Nominated for Prestigious Ernst & Young Entrepreneur
Award
DALLAS - August 2, 2000 Fixture Perfect International President
and CEO Rick Davis was recently named as a finalist for the Southwest
Area 2000 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award in
the service industry category.
"It was a tremendous honor to be nominated for this award," said
Davis. "The competition was tight because of the many other fine
candidates. I'm extremely pleased just to be associated with
such accomplished individuals."
The Entrepreneur of the Year award honors entrepreneurs whose
ingenuity, hard work and perseverance have created and sustained
successful, growing business ventures. Regional award recipients
are selected from a group nominated by local business advisers,
colleagues, employees or vendors, although self-nominations are
also accepted.
An independent panel consisting of fellow entrepreneurs and
prominent leaders from academia and business sectors judged the
competition. The panel based their decisions on criteria such
as the nominee's background, accomplishments and experience.
The panel also evaluated company histories, relations with employees
and customers as well as future plans.
"My biggest accomplishment is heading up the fine team that
has made FPI such a success," added Davis. "This award is icing
on the proverbial cake for not just me, but for all of the staff."
Other finalists include James Ivy, Stonebridge Technologies;
Dennis "Denny" Houlihan, Sage Telecom; Trent Ates and Fred Rayner,
Via Star; William "Bill" Everitt, Brook Mays Music Company; and
David Potter, Source, Inc.
