Kmart Selects Fixture Perfect International
Program Completed in 4 Weeks
Dallas - January 15, 2002 - Fixture Perfect International
Inc. ( FPI ), a turnkey retail development company, recently
managed the installation of interactive video game displays
in 2,100 Kmart locations, completing the extensive program
in just four weeks.
FPI provided program management, managed online site surveys,
installed displays and completed the electrical work on all
Kmart shops located in the continental United States. Installations
occurred in approximately 65 stores per day to accommodate
the job's 4-week timeframe.
“The number of stores and amount of time given for this project
presented a logistical challenge,” said Mike London, FPI director
of retail services. “But with FPI 's large, strategically-placed
employee base, we were confident that we could complete all
installations by the Thanksgiving deadline, allowing Kmart
to utilize the new displays during the busy holiday shopping
season.”
In addition, Kmart Corp. has invited FPI to conduct a formal
review of the $40 billion retail company's store development
procedures and processes in order to make value-engineering
and best practices recommendations.
“FPI was the ideal candidate to help Kmart find the best
approach to their store development processes,” said Rick
Davis, FPI president and CEO. “During our 11 years in operation,
FPI has gained valuable experience in various segments of
the retail industry, so we are well-equipped to make recommendations
that will enhance Kmart's current business practices.”
FPI is the only national turnkey resource for in-house program
management, store and fixture design, online procurement,
site survey and CAD services, logistics management and consolidation,
installation of retail fixtures, and merchandising. |
