Davaco Awarded JoAnn Fabrics Site Survey Program
163 Site Surveys Completed in 12 Weeks
Dallas, TX - April 8, 2003 - Davaco, the retail industry's
leading single-source partner for the management and execution
of new stores, remodels/resets and high-volume rollouts, recently
completed 163 site surveys for JoAnn Fabrics. The initiative
covered retail locations in 36 states and the time-frame for
delivery of the completed site surveys was 12 weeks.
Davaco was able to respond quickly to the retailer's request
by tapping into its nationwide team of employees strategically
located throughout the United States. Strong project management
and a team of designers dedicated to creating detailed floor
plans, storefront elevations and a fixture inventory of each
location enabled the initiative to be executed in an accurate,
responsive manner.
The Dallas-based retail services company will be providing
construction and remodel services, as well as fixture installation,
remodeling and merchandising services for JoAnn Fabrics throughout
the year. The site survey program is an integral part of JoAnn
Fabrics' initiative to assess current work areas for compliance
with ADA accessibility guidelines; evaluate existing store
fixtures and perform fixture inventories and identify areas
of improvement that could increase workflow efficiencies.
“Davaco enjoys a great relationship with JoAnn Fabrics and
we were delighted to have been awarded this program. We worked
closely with our field employees to ensure the integrity of
the site measurements which were supported by digital photography.
The field measurements and digital photography were uploaded
to our design team who took the data forward to create the
CAD layouts. Each layout details the floor plan as well as
the location of merchandise within each store. The accuracy
of these surveys will be critical to ensuring the success
of the program's next phase,” said Bruce Parker, project manager
for Davaco. “The future holds great opportunity for JoAnn
Fabrics and the Davaco team looks forward to assisting in
their continued growth.” |
