Davaco Chosen to Manage TJX Companies, Inc. Retrofit Initiative

Dallas, TX - April 15, 2003 - Davaco, the retail industry's leading single-source partner for the management and execution of new stores, remodels/resets and high-volume rollouts, has recently been awarded a nationwide retrofit program from the TJX Companies, Inc. Store-by-store pre-construction site surveys, hardware inventory assessments, work condition inspections and regulation compliance upgrades will be conducted over a three month timeframe in 100 stores located across the U.S.

Davaco will be able to respond quickly to the retailer's request by tapping into its nationwide team of employees strategically located throughout the United States. The first step — evaluation of the initial surveys and assessments to determine the scope of work to be preformed at each store location. Davaco field employees and project managers will then return to execute the necessary installation and remodeling needed to improve workflow efficiencies in stockroom areas.

TJX began its relationship with Davaco after successfully working with its sister company, DAVACO Sourcing, an online global sourcing and procurement service and technology provider. DAVACO Soucing has been an integral part of the company's initiative to strategically manage company overall spend on maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) and fixtures, furniture and equipment (FFE) items. To date, DAVACO Sourcing has held a wide variety of auctions for TJX and has successfully sourced items such as: merchandise bags, light fixtures, HVAC units and custom store fixtures; driving millions of unrealized dollars to the bottom line.
