The Caruth Institute at the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University, and the CEO Institute conducted the research and will make a formalized presentation to those selected on Wednesday, November 12, 2003.

The selection of those named to the Dallas 100™ was based on the following criteria: the company must be an independent, privately held corporation, proprietorship or partnership, not a subsidiary or division of a parent company; the company must be headquartered in the Dallas Metroplex area; the company must have sales of more than $500,000, but less than $65 million in fiscal 2000; the company must have a three-year sales history which reflects growth during the three year sales period; and, have credit reports and character satisfactory to, and at the sole discretion of, the Dallas 100.
