DALLAS (November 11, 2006) – DAVACO, Inc., the national leading provider of retail services, announced today that it has named Tom Smith as general counsel. In this position, Smith will be responsible for all of the company’s legal affairs. Based in Dallas, Texas, he reports directly to Lamar Roberts, chief financial officer.

Smith was most recently employed with Holigan Investment Group as senior counsel, where he was a part of the senior management team responsible for assessing option financing, real estate private equity transactions, and determining strategic direction of the business. He formerly served as the associate general counsel for Fossil, Inc. In that role, he developed and implemented legal strategies related to real estate, negotiated and drafted all real estate contracts and leases, and managed site selection, new store construction and operational stores processes. He was also the primary litigation counsel for all consumer product, commercial and intellectual property matters worldwide.
