Dallas, TX (October 4, 2007) – DAVACO, Inc., the national leading provider of retail services, announced today that it has named Kathy Merani as vice president, controller. In this role, Merani is responsible for leading the accounting, finance and payroll departments.  Merani reports to Lamar Roberts, chief financial officer, of DAVACO, Inc.

“We are pleased to have Kathy join the DAVACO corporate accounting team,” said Roberts. “Kathy’s extensive accounting, operational, retail and management background is certainly an asset to the company and to the clients we serve.”

Merani’s previous accounting and retail experience includes an extensive 15 years working for CompUSA, where she served in positions ranging from assistant controller and senior director of business development, store operations support and most recently, merchandise category buyer. In these roles, she has managed a large accounting department during aggressive company growth and reorganized operational processes.  Merani contributed to many strategic initiatives with her experience in operational and merchandising processes as well as accounting and systems development support.

Merani attended St. John’s University in New York and earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting, as well as attended Nova Southeastern University in Florida and earned an MBA.  She is also a certified public accountant (CPA).
